Health
An important topic in dog breeding is of course health.
All of my dogs undergo various health examinations before they are used for breeding and of course they receive the best possible medical care throughout their lives.
We keep our vaccinations up to date, deworm regularly, use tick treatments, pay attention to dental health, trim their nails weekly and the whole pack sees a trained physiotherapist every 4 weeks, because a great athlete should also be treated like one.
All of them are myostatin (bully gene free), have a DNA profile according to ISAG 2006 and of course both the phenotype assessment and the behavioral test before breeding according to the current specifications of the DWZRV.
Otherwise, I pay particular attention to ECVO eye examinations, thorough Doppler heart ultrasound and a patella examination.
I also have other genetic tests carried out on a random basis.
I have now decided on Dog Check 4.0 for Dakota. as well as another DNA profile according to ISAG 2020 and a DLA haplotype analysis at the Feragen laboratory.
